Each November, 206 Zulu partakes in the celebration of Dia de los Muertos at El Centro de la Raza.
In Hispanic tradition, families get together each year to honor their loved ones who have passed away. They set up alters and invite their guests to eat and drink, and reminisce on the memories they shared. People bring offerings too, be it food, drinks, flowers, gifts, and place them by the alter.
Since 2008, 206 Zulu has participated in Dia de los Muertos at El Centro de la Raza, with alters that pays tribute to the memory of those from the Hip Hop community who’ve passed.
