After leaving his musical imprint on nearly every club Seattle has had to offer for the past nearly 20 years, DJ Topspin currently holds an alternating Saturday night residency at Trinity, Seattle’s largest nightclub, as well as keeps his calendar booked w/ freelance gigs around the city, as well as up & down the coast.
As an award winning mixtape, club, & radio mixshow DJ, he is particularly renowned for his harmonic ear (showcased by his signature blends & his BLENDIANA JONES aka moniker), impeccable selection, timing, & knack for unearthing exclusives from worldwide sources. This prowess has been on display since the days of his first concept based mixtape series, an imaginary radio station, 101.1 KTOP FM* (*Fat Mixtapes), where each mixtape in the series, or “broadcast”, served as a grassroots alternative to the commercial radio options. Both listeners & record labels ended up believing the station was real & hungered for more. Mission accomplished. His most recent double-disk mix CD series, ‘VELOUR VIBES‘ which features a seamless blend of soulful artists (R&B & nu-soul vocalists, instrumental productions, & MCs) has garnered him critical acclaim from industry insiders & fans alike. His passion for remixing & putting new twists on current & classic jams is also evidenced by each one of his mix CDs, but most prominently by The PPP REMIXtape, a collaboration with Detroit / Platinum Pied Pipers producer & Slum Village original member Waajeed, along with last year’s collaborative release with producer (& affiliate of Grammy Award Winning production team Tha Bizness) Kuddie Fresh, THE REMIXtape.

DJ Topspin has shared the stage, & tables, with a number of the best contemporary touring artists over the past several years, including: The Foreign Exchange, Little Dragon, DJ Drama, Black Eyed Peas, Dave Hollister, DJ Maceo of De La Soul, Wale, Showbiz & AG, Jeru The Damaja, Too Short, Little Brother, Slim (of 112), Case, The Youngbloodz, DJ Supreme La Rock, Jon B, DJ Houseshoes, DJ Shadow, Dwele, Digable Planets, Bilal, & J*DaVeY. In the Winter of 2011, he had the privilege to DJ for the 2nd time in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania at the Groove Theory 2 Yr. Anniversary celebration @ Sea Cliff’s Karambezi Cafe.
On the horizon for 2013 & beyond, DJ Topspin plans not only to return to his production & beatmaking roots, but also to continue to strengthen his bond with his African listeners by continuing to supply weekly mixes for 102.6 CHOICE FM’s ‘COUNTDOWN SHOW’, as well as to return to the Motherland for his ‘African Expediton Tour’ spanning from East, throughout South Africa. Additionally, a special Michael Jackson REMIXTAPE is also in the works, containing exclusive custom remixes aligning the King of Pop, with the likes of elite producers such as J.Dilla, Super ‘Dave’ West, Justice League & more.
