Legendary radio deejay, Nasty Nes debuted the West Coast’s first ever all-rap radio show, Freshtracks, in 1980, creating hip hop radio shows for KFOX, KCMU and KUBE. He was one of the founders of Nastymix Records, which released Sir Mix-A-Lot’s back-to-back gold and platinum albums, and he DJ’d for the Emerald Street Boys, Seattle’s first rap group to release an album.
