Our recipient will be 206 Zulu, a Seattle-based community organization that uses Hip Hop culture and the arts as platforms for community service, education and empowerment. 206 Zulu has become an international model for promoting Hip Hop culture.

ABOUT BEN
Ben Wheeler is a Seattle native who started playing classical guitar at age 10. Alongside a 30 year career as a classroom teacher, administrator, and curriculum developer, Ben has played both classical and jazz guitar professionally in a wide range of venues in Santa Barbara and Seattle. He is a regular with the eclectic Seattle group, Jazz Hands, featuring original adaptations of gyspy jazz, bossa nova, and standards. During the pandemic Ben played a series of six live-streamed classical guitar concerts, each benefitting a different non-profit organization.
