206 Zulu welcomes Dr. James D. Croone, Sr. to the 206 Zulu Board of Directors!

Dr. Croone, formerly known as Captain Crunch, was one-third of the seminal rap group The Emerald Street Boys that paved the way for Seattle Hip-Hop in the early 1980s.

Dr. James D. Croone, Sr., holds a Master of Arts degree in Theology and Culture from Northwest University and a doctoral degree in Religious Education from A.L. Hardy Academy of Theology. Dr. Croone is an adjunct professor at Northwest University, serves as an executive presbyter with the Northwest Ministry Network in the Seattle area, and is the Northwest Regional Director for the National Black Fellowship of the Assemblies of God. In addition, Dr. Croone is the Director of the Men’s Recovery Program at the Seattle Union Gospel Mission and pastors Risen Church in the Normandy Park neighborhood of Des Moines. (#risenseattle).
