Intersections of Soul, Jazz & Hip-Hop around the World

Come join us at Crossroads Bellevue for a panel discussion and short performances of musical fusion like you’ve never experienced before! Explore the cross-cultural Intersections of Soul music, Jazz, and Hip Hop with Fidget (MC and B-boy with Fraggle Rock Crew and Soul Revolution), Beatbox Panda, Indian tabla master Anil Prasad (of Roger Fisher & the Human Tribe), kit drummer Dale Catlett (of Global Heat and Platinum Soul), conga player Ted Sharpe, and keyboardist Rob Pastorok (of Global Heat).  Learn about the relationships among “beats” in Soul, Jazz, Funk, Bollywood, Classical Indian Tabla, and Hip Hop.  Interact with the Artists and contribute your perspectives on fusion of these genres in countries across the world. This event is supported in part by a City of Bellevue grant to Global Artists Collective as part of the Cross-Cultural Center Without Walls program.
